Great Little Box

This little box is a great idea. It saved me quite a bit over adding another dedicated line and was very easy to install. The only issue I have is the noise it makes as it switches from one plug to the other. As other users have mentioned, it is quite loud. Not loud enough to wake the dead. But definitely noticeable especially in a quiet house in the middle of the night.

Great alternative to running new wire.

I am using the same 220V socket to charge my EV and to run the clothes dryer. The Lectron spiltter is a much cheaper solution than running new wiring from the fusebox to the garage. My only complaint is that the splitter switches back and forth many times while the dryer is running and that pulsing can cause the EV charger to get confused and lock up.

Effective splitter for dryer & EV on single socket

Item nicely built, arrived with all mounting hardware. Immediately plugged in and tested for use, over several days. Splits power with priority as labelled, works flawlessly, has shutoff (important for me since my charger extends outside). No problems encountered at any point.

Great solution for single NEMA 10-30 outlet

I've been relying on this single NEMA 10-30 outlet for a long time, juggling charging my EV and using dryer. Not ideal when I need to use the dryer but the car isn’t charged for the morning drive. I was actually thinking about shelling out a couple of hundred bucks for an electrician to put in another outlet. I stumbled onto this socket splitter thing on reddit. I've haven’t looked back since. I juice up the car and run my laundry from the same outlet. Multitasking at its finest. Let me just say, the thing feels solid as a rock, not some flimsy at all so it definitely feels safe to use especially with the added surge protection! Whoever designed it deserves a high-five. It's like it was made for my garage. So, in case you couldn't tell, I'm very happy with my setup now.
